  • Eno Vino & AC Lounge –  Bistro serving globally inspired small plates. Enjoy stunning views of the Capitol. Stop in to the first floor AC Lounge for the finest cocktails in town.
  • Essen Haus – German food and drinking hall. Polka music every weekend. Where else can you can drink beer and schnapps from glass boots?
  • Graze – Farm to table comfort food from James Beard award winning chef Tory Miller.
  • Harvey House – Superb restaurant, one of the top 50 in the country. This place is so good that reservations are usually needed 1 to 2 weeks in advance.
  • Nitty Gritty – Long time campus favorite, classic burgers. If it’s your birthday, stop in for free drinks.
  • The Old Fashioned – The best deep fried cheese curds in the world. Seriously.
  • Osteria Papavero  – Traditional Italian fare with an elevated twist. Reservations recommended because this place fills up early.
  • Sardine – Lake side bistro and bar on Lake Monona.
  • Tornado Club – Considered one of the best steak houses in Madison.
  • Middleton – Craftsman Table & Tap – Close to Mendota County Park. Some argue that they have the best cheese curds in the state.
  • Middleton – Gino’s Italian Deli for subs and groceries.

  • J. Henry & Son Bourbon Production Tour & Tasting: A 25 minute drive from Marshall Park. Tours include a bourbon production tour, sensory bourbon nosing & tasting, and cocktail hours for a little escape. We offer tours four days weekly. To maintain a great experience for all, we request guests make reservations.
  • Monona Terrace Convention Center: A relatively short walk across the isthmus from the Edgewater, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural vision for the City of Madison—a curvilinear gathering place linking the shore of Lake Monona to the State Capitol.
